The conservative cut of this emerald gown allowed Jolie to remain understated while stealing the show. Liquidy sequins give the look a slitthery shine and recall Dynasty-era glamour.Annette Benning in Marc Jacobs
Benning played off her sophisticated gown with a funky do and sassy glasses. While some may have prefered to see her choose something that draws more attention to her elegant good looks, I find this styling to be smart and savy.
Catherine Zeta Jones in Monique Lhuillier
Zeta Jones won the evening, in my opinion, by embracing classic glamour and selecting a dramatic hue amazingly off set by her striking dark hair.

I am not a fan of the putty color or the gathering in which this fabric is used. The styling is a bit old for Jovovich and brings to mind bridal ware.

Lynch is a stunner in black, however the cut of the dress could have been better for her. I do applaud her for making a glamorous statement with this selection.

The glamorous cut, color and fabric of this gown gives it a Rita Hayworth quality. Her brunette locks look rather unpolished for this number though. A slightly smoother look could have added an additional a pop to her overall style.
Nicole Kidman in Prada
A constant favorite of mine, who never looks anything less than phenomenal. In any case, I found this prim look rather safe and unexciting for Kidman. With such an exquisite complexion, I love it when she chooses to play it up with more unusual hues.
